Business Education and Training The San Ramon Chamber is dedicated to providing meaningful and quality programs and training for its members. In 2007 we started a series of seminars for business financing. The first one held in January, Taking Your Business to the Next Level was a huge success and very well attended. It was held in conjunction with the City of San Ramon and the Contra Costa Workforce Development Board. Based on the feed back from the attendees, we had a second event in March, The Entrepreneurial Expo. We are planning a third seminar for later this year and will repeat all of them in 2008.

We are currently working on the Small/Medium Business Initiative (SMBI) to determine the training needs and wants of our membership. A task force had been formed and we hope to have a series of workshops starting Fall 2007.

“Is Your Networking” seminars have been very popular. If you get butterflies when you walk into a Mixer or just don’t go because of fear of having to talk to a stranger, then this series is for you. Trey McCallister from the Referral Institute has provide attendees with wonderful and useful tools to help them get over the anxiety many feel when faced with “working a room”.

SCORE Counselors are also available by appointment. (free of charge) We have information on funding sources, marketing, etc. Give us a call. We are here to help!
